Tahoe Valley Greenbelt and Stormwater Project

As a sub-consultant to Cardno, in 2016 WBS conducted extensive surveys to document existing vegetation communities and evaluate their condition as they pertained to potential water quality and other environmental improvements, as part of the Tahoe Valley Storm Water Improvement Project (TVSWIP). The purpose of this earlier project is to reduce pollutant loads in a commercial area of South Lake Tahoe. We also conducted sensitive plant species and noxious and invasive weed surveys. WBS recently assisted Cardno with the current 60% design package which includes plans, specifications, and the engineer’s estimate and has expanded to include the Greenway bike path. The 90% design and final 100% design for the entire project is forthcoming, with construction anticipated in 2022.
