Pinehaven Fires

For Lumos and Associates. 2020 – on-going. City of Reno, NV. Following an extensive urban interface fire that occurred in the summer of 2020, WBS surveyed the sites in the winter of 2020 and again in the fall of 2021 to determine the degree of vegetation damage, erosion potential, and alternatives for stabilization.  We determined that the erosion potential was limited due to surface roughness, and that the main concern was establishment and spread of noxious and invasive weeds. Accordingly, we developed seeding and weed control specifications that would require access from private parcels in order to be implemented
