Johnson Canyon West

As a subconsultant to Wildscape Engineering, in 2017 WBS is assisted with the design of decommissioning and restoration of an old Caltrans yard at the bottom of Johnson Canyon, near Donner Summit. We also obtained baseline vegetative cover data in reference and disturbed communities. In 2018 WBS oversaw implementation of the erosion control and revegetation work. In the spring of 2019, following an extreme winter, the team assessed subsequent erosion, designed, and oversaw new site improvements which included constructing a defined channel and adding biotechnical elements.
