Basil Trials

After two months in the ground roots showed the presence of colonization but just arbuscules and hyphae inside the root structure. This implies that the colonization process is in the initial stage since no spores were present either inside or outside the roots. However, the plants inoculated at the 100:1 concentration had twice the percent colonization than the 1000:1, at 16.23%


It is desirable to extend the time of exposure, with one more harvest, to see if the product is more infective. This could potentially benefit the plant by increasing longevity of the plants and increased harvest prior to re-planting fields.
